Unlock the information hidden in your energy data
Monitoring and targeting is a management technique that should be
central to any effective programme
of energy management.
- It will alert you to unexpected excess consumption;
- It provides objective estimates of savings you have achieved; and
- it can help you forecast energy demand
This course is suitable for those who want to implement a new M&T scheme or make
an existing one more effective. It is intended for facilities managers,
plant engineers, and works managers and engineers as well as full-time energy
managers. Consultants will also find it useful.
The workshop is limited to 12 delegates. It is informal and interactive, with
questions and discussion encouraged throughout. Examples and exercises
will be used to illustrate and clarify the material.

Condense all your significant results into a few lines
Use sensible views of complex data
|
What you will learn
At the end of the session, you will know how to
- Detect exceptions with a remarkably simple routine report
- Instantly prioritise them by excess cost
- Account properly for the weather, production activity levels, and other quantifiable influences
- Reveal inefficiency and waste through analysis of past behaviour
- Focus energy surveys where there will be most benefit
- Verify and quantify the benefit of energy-saving initiatives and projects
- Forecast and track energy budgets accurately
- Benefit from enhanced benchmarking opportunities
Specifically if you have heard of degree-days and cusum analysis and
want to understand them properly, this is the place to learn.
We will also touch on practical aspects of implementation, such as data collection,
integration into wider business processes, and evaluation of software.

Using automatic meter reading? Keep your head above water
Manual meter readings are fine too...
|
Yours to keep...
- A handbook on the analysis and reporting of energy data
- An Excel 2003 workbook containing samples of analysis and data-presentation tricks
You will be able to use the knowledge directly to improve your own "home-made" M&T schemes or to specify the features
required from M&T software suppliers.
